Highlights

โฑ Prep Time: 20 minutes

๐Ÿณ Cook Time: 15 minutes

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Serves: ~30 meatballs

๐ŸงŠ Make Ahead? – Absolutely!

โ„ Freezer Friendly? – Please do!

๐ŸŒฑ Substitutions? – If you don’t love a beef and pork combination you can easily double up on one protein (2 lbs). You can also swap in turkey as your preferred protein as well! I like to mix up the Italian seasoning with whatever I have on hand; you can swap it out every time you make these meatballs until you find your favorite combination.

Recipe: Pasta with Homemade Meatballs

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 375ยฐF. Lightly coat two 15×10 inch baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, lightly beat two eggs.
  3. Stir in the breadcrumbs and the next five ingredients (through Italian seasoning).
  4. Add 1 lb each of the ground beef and ground pork. Mix well or use your hands to make sure all ingredients are incorporated.
  5. Roll mixture into 1-inch meatballs, and place on prepared sheets.
  6. Bake 12-15 minutes total, turning the meatballs halfway through cook time.
  7. In the meantime, if you are planning to eat the meatballs today, start boiling 6 cups of water in a fresh pot on the stove.
  8. When the water is boiling, add pasta and cook as directed.
  9. Serve meatballs on top of pasta with sauce of your choice. Check out this homemade sauce recipe to enhance your meal!

Family Tips

  • This recipe yields a lot of meatballs so you can use them same-day/week or freeze in an airtight container for additional meals later.
  • I love quickly thawing the meatballs in the microwave (~2 minutes) or on the stovetop with some sauce to create a fast meatball sandwich, or chop up for our daughter as a quick lunch option!
