Cheesesteak Wraps

I love a good cheesesteak but getting a quality one is not always easy, especially during the week when you may be trying to eat a little cleaner and avoid takeout. I find these cheesesteak wraps to be fulfilling and delicious without leaving you as full as a gigantic sandwich might, and you can easily double the recipe if you want to have extras for lunch or have more people in the family!

Recipe: Cheesesteak Wraps

  1. Heat a large saute pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, onion, bell peppers, and seasoning until brown, breaking up the ground beef with a wooden spoon. Do not drain.
  2. Stir in garlic, cream cheese, and mozzarella until melted and creamy. Remove from heat and let cool slightly while prepared the wraps.
  3. Lay out the tortillas and spoon the beef mixture evenly across each shell. Fold the edges and press together to create a wrap.
  4. Wipe your skillet clean and toast the wraps for 1-2 minutes per side until golden to seal in the crunch and flavor!
  5. Optional – serve with a side of chips or corn chips.

Family Tips

  • Feel free to swap out the mozzarella for cheddar or even cheese whiz if you really want to go all in on the philly cheesesteak vibe!
  • This is quick to make but if you want it even quicker, you can easily make the beef filling ahead of time and then refrigerate until ready to eat. Then, all you’ll have to do is microwave the beef (or re-heat in a skillet) and wrap them up! This is a great fix for lunch too – simply double the recipe, serve what you want for dinner and use the rest of the tortillas for lunches.
